Melissa's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, Melissa Bradley. She was born on May 7, 1968, and was called home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2023.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Mackenzie Leatherman, who will forever keep her memory alive. Melissa also leaves behind her respectful brother, Mike Heck. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Dora and Riley Pete Heck, and her supportive brothers, Mitch and Mark Heck.
Family was the heart of Melissa's life. On July 4, 2000, she was blessed with the birth of her daughter, who was the apple of her eye. Their bond was unparalleled and showcased Melissa's ultimate dedication and love as a mother.
Known for her sweet, caring, selfless, and bubbly personality, Melissa had a sincere love for Old Bluegrass music and appreciated the simple beauty of Paint on Canvas art. She loved spending leisure time watching Lifetime Movies and basking in the beauty of the outdoors, which coincided with her love for the color Green. Olive Garden, Peppermint candies, and Lemonade captured her taste buds and always brought a distinctive smile to her face.
Her kindness was not confined to her family and friends; she had a soft corner for children in need and dedicated her time and resources to help them. Melissa led her life by a simple, yet powerful mantra: Always be kind and help one another. She was an incredible woman, full of warmth and known for a legacy of kindness and friendship.
It's in the way she lived her life that Melissa Bradley's moments will continue to shine through the lives she touched. Everyone who knew her will miss her deeply and keep her in their hearts forever.
