Sue's obituary
Melinda Sue (Price) Lebsack of Carrollton, Texas, born on March 26, 1959 in Sherman, Texas, entered into heavenly rest on January 27, 2025 at age 65 in McKinney, Texas.
She was the beloved wife of Dr. Joel Lebsack of Carrollton, and they spent many of the days since their marriage in 2021 traveling and exploring places she had never visited before like Alaska, and visiting with family & friends.
Melinda “Sue” was the youngest daughter of Aaron & Edna (Fogle) Price. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1977 and nursing school at Grayson County College in 1979. She worked as a nurse at Wilson N Jones Medical Center for most of her career, then transitioned to in-home nursing. She dedicated most of her life to the noble profession of nursing, touching countless lives with her compassion, skill, and unwavering dedication.
Sue was more than just an excellent caregiver; she was a beacon of hope and comfort to her patients. Her gentle touch and reassuring words had the power to heal not just the body, but the spirit. She had the ability to connect with people, making each patient feel seen, heard, and cared for. Whether it was a routine check-up or a critical emergency, Sue handled every situation with grace and professionalism. Her dedication to her patients was evident in the countless hours she spent ensuring their well-being, often going above and beyond the call of duty. Beyond her professional achievements, Sue was loved by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of compassion and the impact one person can have on the world. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
Sue is survived by her husband Joel, as well as her siblings Ricky (Zeny) Price of Sherman, Barbara (John) Bateman of Bells, Jimmy (Charlotte) Price of Grapevine, and Cheryl (Fred - predeceased) McClure of Sherman, as well as many beloved nieces & nephews and other family & friends and beloved dogs who will miss her dearly.
The Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 11am at Irving Bible Church in The Commons, with Pastor Jared Barnett officiating, followed by a repast for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her honor to the SPCA of Texas.
