Dear family of Melinda, We met your dear mother in Bountiful out in the real estate market back in 2009. She helped us with buying two houses in American Fork. She was our realtor! We love and appreciate her and Eric and each of you. Grant, Rosi and Brianna Bennett

More than a condolence is overdo from me. My name is Vickie Guthrie, Melinda was my step mother, (a mother to me in every sense of the word mom). This tragedy hit me like a tun of bricks, as the last time I saw her I was leaving her home not on good terms. My father played a big part in that, but my love for her will always remain. She was a good woman, mother, and business women. Very dedicated in the things she believes in. I was proud to be blessed to call her mom. Given my life, I didn't just throw that word around. I say this with a heavy heart, she will sadly be missed by me and those I love, that knew her as their Grandmother. I wish the last time I saw her didn't have to be the last time. I lost.

Bro & Sis used to be members of the Cashmere Ward, NZ CHristchurch Stake. Dynamic, fascinating, and always upbeat. Had the most beaming smile that would light up any room. Kind-hearted, and what a marvellous example of what the true Latter-day Saint ought to be.

This is such heartbreaking news. Melinda and I became fast friends in beauty college and acted as each other’s “wingmen” until we each married. She had a singular ability to draw others into her circle. She was absolutely genuine in her interactions with all. What a delight to learn we were in the same ward again, after many years. I’m so thankful to have enjoyed her sweet spirit for so long. And what an additional treat to get to know her sweet children.
Sending much love from our family to yours,
Carolyn Steele

My deepest sympathy to Melinda's family. I pray all the good memories you have will help you get through this very difficult time. My heart broke when I heard what happened. Your mom was a true gem. I grew to love her after she moved to the Mountainville Ward in Fairview. I saw her almost every week. She was such a giving person! She was always signing up to do a meal or a dish for a compassionate service need or a ward social. She was always freeze-drying things and would surprise me with a package. Despite health issues and other trials recently her and Erick were always positive and smiling when I visited. I will miss my dear friends.
