Background
Melinda died recently and her family is left unable to pay for the funeral expenses.
I Met Melinda when she worked in a prison, she encouraged me to get my education and I eventually earned several college degrees - now I'm the founder and director of a non-profit organization.
She was only 52 years old when she died and left behind three children and three grandchildren (she had another that passed away in 2019). She loved the Church, fed the community regularly, and she didn't just look at a person's circumstances to determine who that person was.
She will be sorely missed. Can you help us make sure her legacy lives on? Will you donate to help fill in the gap where Melinda is now missing? We need to pay bills to cover funeral expenses. You can help us by donating today.
Melinda's daughter Ocialeena Nelson is in charge of final expenses.
Estimated costs at the moment are:
$2500 for the casket,
$5000 for the funeral,
$2500 for the burial, and
$1000 in miscellaneous costs
In addition to the above, there is still an unpaid loan remaining and her last month's bills. But the burial and funeral service fees of over $10,000 must be paid by January 31, 2020, and the remainder should be paid by February 10, 2020.
