Melia's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melia Etta Hensley on September 14, 2023. Born on August 22, 1955, Melia, widely known as Mimi but loved her given name, Melia, lived a life full of laughter, love, and kindness, which remains as her enduring legacy.
Melia was a beacon of light to all around her, faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ, to the very end. Known for her funny, caring, warm, and lovable personality. The strength of her character was evident in her ability to always turn the other cheek, exemplifying the power of forgiveness. Her legacy is one of kindness, as she was someone who never turned her back, no matter the circumstance.
Melia is survived by her sister Lorraine Miller, and brothers, Leeland, Gary, and Doyle Osmun. Her niece, Raelyn Ruffin, and nephews, Ricky and Randy Edwards.. These close family members will continue to honor Melia's legacy by doing all they can to live their lives with the same care and compassion that she demonstrated throughout her life.
Melia was predeceased by her parents, Virgil A. Osmun and A. Imogene Mackey. As well as her Sister, D. Wanafay Osmun. Even though their physical presence is immensely missed, their teachings and love continue to live in the hearts of their descendants.
In respecting Melia's fun-loving and compassionate nature, her life will be celebrated with love, laughter, and fond memories, as she would have wished. She will always be remembered as a caring soul who brought comfort and joy to all who had the privilege to know her.
