We been friends ever since.  We lost touch for a small period of time but we all reconnected with face book and met yearly.  Our meet ups will not be the same 🥲. My sincerest condolences to the family. Melanie and I have known each other since the 5th grade. She was always the most considerate and caring of our M&N crew. We were lucky to have her in our lives. May our memories of her carry us….

The last time we saw each other, it was celebrating my birthday at Lips.  I didn't think the next time I would see you is today for your viewing.  When I got the terrible news about your passing, it hit me like a ton of bricks.  I just reached out and wished you a happy birthday and thinking I will see you again around my birthday this year.  I thought I had more time, more moments and birthdays to share with you.  While we didn't speak or see each other often, when we did get together it was just like yesterday.  Oh my Melly Mel.  One of the 3 Ms (Mel, Mindy, Minnie ) in the M and N (Nic, Nia) crew.  Grew up with Mel since elementary up to JHS.  She always had my back.. literally.  We lived on the same block... quarter waters...we ran those streets in the BX!!! My sincere condolences to Mel's family during this difficult time. After losing your parents, your brother and now your sister in a short span, I can't even imagine.  I pray for strength and healing as you go through this and know that I'm here if y'all need anything.  Love, Nykky Nic (your mom use to call me that)

I am absolutely devastated to hear about Melanie's passing, I worked with her for many years and she was like a mentor to me and also a great friend. I will truly miss her. My prayers and love to her family 

I was so sad to learn of Melanie's passing.  Melanie and I worked together at Skyview Center in Wallingford.  I have very fond memories of time spent with her.  She could always bring a smile to my face!  May the wonderful memories sustain her loved ones during this very difficult time.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Melanie’s passing. I am the volunteer coordinator at the MGFA and loved working with her. I am from CT and was born in Bridgeport so I loved reminiscing with her.  She certainly had a bright light. I will be saying prayers of comfort for your family.
