In loving memory of Irwin Mel Guggenheim.  Beloved Son, Brother and Uncle. Above all Mel was  truly a devoted family man always going above  and beyond providing care and compassion to all. An animal lover, Mel had several cats in his lifetime and he took great pleasure in feeding the birds and squirrels in the park. Mel was also an avid sports fan starting with the NY Giants and Milwaukee Braves in the 1950’s to the Yankees and Mets in present day.  He was a Scrabble master, a film buff and big fan of Larry David. Mel served in the U.S. Air Force and was a U.S. Postal Worker in NYC for 30+ years.

Most of all Mel will be remembered for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh. He left a lot of wonderful memories and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday 5/7 at New Montefiore Cemetery 1180 Wellwood Avenue West Babylon NY 11704.
