Meghan's obituary
Affectionately known as "Megs," Meghan Breana Holman entered this world on March 17, 1993, in Show Low, Arizona, and departed far too soon on November 14, 2024, at the age of 31. Meghan’s life was a symphony of love, resilience, and passion, centered around her family and the dreams she so fiercely pursued.
Megs was more than a devoted mother; she was the heart of her family, the constant cheerleader and unwavering support for her beloved sons: Ryker, 10, Kyzer, 8, and her bonus son, Landon Holman, 18. Watching them play sports, celebrating their milestones, and creating cherished memories together brought her immeasurable joy.
Her creativity was boundless, spilling into her love for music, painting, and interior design. Whether she was pouring her heart into a canvas or planning the perfect family gathering over her favorite Mexican cuisine, Megs filled every moment with beauty and intention.
Her dedication extended to her professional life as well. As a dispatcher for the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, Meghan was respected and admired by her colleagues for her hard work, compassion, and calm strength in times of crisis. With dreams of becoming a detective, she was diligently pursuing, and almost completed, her degree in criminal justice through Colorado State University- a testament to her drive to make a difference in the world.
To her siblings, Daylon, Jordan, Alexus, and Michael, Megs was more than a sister—she was their protector, their confidante, and their guiding light. She always prioritized family, fiercely defending and supporting those she loved.
Megs leaves behind a legacy of love and strength carried forward by her husband, Joshua Holman; her parents, Dale and Heather Whittle, and Monte Coleman; her sons, Ryker and Kyzer Holman; step-son Landon Holman; sisters Jordan Hudgel, Alexus Brumley, and Shay Coleman; brothers Daylon Hudgel and Michael Workman, as well as her grandparents, Nick and Dee Nicholson, an aunt Patrice Nicholson, and two nieces, Luna Hudgel and Bryndel Nicholson. Meghan is preceded in death by her uncle Garrett Nicholson. She was an amazing daughter, a compassionate sister, a devoted wife, and a truly remarkable friend.
Meghan’s presence was like sunlight—bright, warm, and impossible to forget. She was beautiful inside and out, with a spirit that radiated kindness, intelligence, and an unmatched capacity for love. Those lucky enough to have known her will forever hold her in their hearts.
Her memory will be lovingly preserved in the laughter of her children, the stories shared by her family, and the lives she touched. Though she is gone, Meghan’s legacy remains—a testament to a life lived with courage, grace, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
