Meagan Fanise Ziyad (Boyd), 40 made her transition from earth to eternity on Friday February 24, 2023, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

She was born October 31, 1982 in Bremerton Washington, to the late Patricia D. Boyd (2009) and Mr. Willie James Boyd.

Meagan was always an acclaimed scholar, graduating from Vance High School in 2001 and obtaining an academic scholarship to North Carolina Central University. While attending Central Meagan was bitten by the “love bug” meeting her husband, Dawud Ziyad in 2002. The couple welcomed their first son, Qadree J. Ziyad (18) on April 30, 2004.

Meagan was enthralled with motherhood, causing her to suspend her educational career at that time. The couple legally sealed their union on March 30, 2006, on August 4, 2006 the newlyweds welcomed their second son, Jelani Q. Ziyad (16). The couple relocated from Durham to Sailsbury. On July 28, 2014 the family welcomed Malik L. Ziyad (8). While managing her growing family, Meagan had a thriving career as an early education teacher in both Cabarrus County and Rowan County Schools. On May 5, 2018 Meagan graduated with honors from Livingstone College with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in History and Business.
