Megan's obituary

In Loving Memory of                                  Megan Cohen-Rutigliano
                             May 16, 1989 - April 16, 2025

Megan passed away on April 16, 2025, surrounded by family. A passionate mental health advocate, Megan courageously faced her own mental health challenges while dedicating her life to supporting others on their journey. She was a voice for those who often felt unheard, and her compassion touched the lives of many. Megan used TikTok as a platform to reach more people, and give them a space where they were accepted and loved.

In her final act of generosity, Megan gave the gift of life through organ donation—a decision supported with love and pride by her wife and family. Through her donation, Megan continues to make a difference in the world, just as she did every day she was with us. She saved 3 women and 1 man with her donations.

Megan is deeply loved and survived by her devoted wife, Caitlin Rutigliano; her sisters, Barbara and Julia Ruggiero; and her parents, Lana and Steven Seidman, who will forever cherish her spirit, warmth, and unwavering strength.

Megan's life was a reminder that even in struggle, there can be beauty, purpose, and deep connection. She will be remembered for her empathy, her advocacy, and the powerful love she shared with those around her.

If you want to do something in Memory of Megan, the family requests that donations be made in Megan’s memory to Gift of Life Organ Donation or to The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.
