Megan's obituary
Megan Cherry, age 40, was called home to Jesus on March 31, 2025.
Born on February 8, 1985, in La Junta, Colorado, Megan was a sweet and precious soul. At the age of 3, she tragically drowned in a pool, but by the grace of God, she was brought back to us. We were blessed with 37 more years of her beautiful spirit. She was a true gift, bringing joy to everyone around her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Megan met her fiancé, José Torres, in Panama City, FL, and together they shared a deep, loving bond. Megan was overjoyed to have found the love of her life, and she was cherished by José and his entire family, who welcomed her as one of their own. Above all, Megan adored her two sons, Deven and Shawn, loving them with every ounce of her heart and always willing to do anything for them.
Megan had an undeniable love for the beach, always at peace near the water. She found joy in watching dolphins and sunsets, and she had a special fondness for gazing at the moon and stars. Megan was also someone who loved to get dressed up and go out, bringing her vibrant spirit wherever she went. She was beautiful, both inside and out, and her heart of gold touched the lives of all who knew her. She was truly a gift from God.
Megan was a devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, and niece. She had a special place in her heart for her loved ones and always kept them close. The bond she shared with her family was something she cherished deeply.
Megan’s unwavering faith in God guided her through life’s challenges, and she shared that faith and love with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Known for her generous spirit, she gave of herself fully to others, and her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
