Meg's obituary
We regretfully announce the passing of Meg Nolan, 60, of Forest Park. Meg passed away on May 16th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
Meg was born to Rosemary E. Nolan (Weiss) and Joseph G. Nolan in October 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Meg was an excellent student in the subject matter she was drawn to, such as Art, Greek Mythology, and Theater. Meg graduated from Hinsdale South High School in 1981 and went on to study Theater at the University of Arizona. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Meg stayed in Tucson and started the a.k.a. Theatre. Shortly after beginning her career, a.k.a. theatre took off and became an essential part of the Tucson Theater scene with plays like Lion in Winter, Hawk Moon, and Endgame. After a time, Meg moved back to Illinois and met the love of her life, Chidi Okonmah, at her new job. They married on October 10th, 2020. Meg is survived by her husband, Chidi Okonmah, Kathleen Irons (sister) and Anthony Maffia (brother), Joeseph and Matthew Maffia (Nephews), The Nolan and Winterfeldt Families of Long Island, New York, The Weiss family of Lombard, IL and the Okonmah family of Maywood, IL. Meg was predeceased by Joseph Nolan, Rosemary Nolan, Joseph and James Nolan, James Nolan, Margaret Nolan James Patrick Nolan, Frances Nolan, Charles Winterfeldt, Otto Weiss, Kathleen Margaret Weiss, William Weiss, Robert Weiss, Eileen Dean, Patrick Weiss, and James Weiss.
