It’s taken me months to write this but wanted to send my condolences to the family. I met Max at Pirates over 10 years ago and we were instantly friends.  I was only at Pirates with him a couple of years but our friendship remained close   He stayed with me when he came down in 2024 to do Pirates and had finally got me to go back to Pirates.  He was there for me when I got the call my dad had passed away and I know he stayed a few more days longer before going  to Reno to make sure I was ok. He had such a caring soul.  He called me and said he was down for Pirates sign ups and to meet him for lunch the Sunday before he passed.  I honestly didn’t want to go , I was being lazy that day but he had a way of not letting you say no so I went.  We hugged when he left and I told him call me when he made it back to Reno so I know he made it safe.  He sent a txt he had made it home I told him I’d talk to him tomorrow but that was the last I ever heard from him.  He had so many things he still wanted to do.  His life was cut to short and I miss our late night talks.  My condolences to his family.

It's still hard to believe.  I will miss you so much. We had plans for me to come visit then you come visit. You will be missed so much. I will miss going "Maaaaaaaaxxxxxxxxxx" everytime we chat. Lol
My condolences to Max's family. I first met Max when we worked together at WeDriveU/Tesla. We talked off and on after he left the company and then met up again in Reno a few years later. Also enjoyed hanging out with him, he will be missed.

All the memories I have of Max are very vivid and pure. He was my FIRST friend at Pirates of Emerson. He was one of my favorites, not just at pirates, in general. He was genuine, always had a story to make me laugh or smile. He told jokes like no other.

He picked me up when I was drunk in Castro valley and got me home safe one night (last minute call and he was there within 40 minutes ), even though he lived in Fremont. He took me to his comic book shop where we sat and talked for awhile. He drove me to Santa Rosa on an emergency mission and we got in and out and I got a piercing from his favorite tattoo shop, we talked and jammed and laughed the whole way there and back. He drove me home so many times, made sure I was safe. Hung out with me. Offered me a place to sleep. Offered the jacket off his back. Offered the food he had in his car with what little money he had. Always. We shared a love of punk and nerd shit. He was A STAPLE in my life.

I wish we talked more often; but I am grateful for every phone call, drive(no matter how long), the late nights, and every haunt.

He's burned into my memory. I am so grateful that I got to know a guy like him, and be as close as I was to him.

My condolences to Max's family. I first met Max when working at Pirates of Emerson, in 2017. We were both ticket punchers for different haunts, and at the end of the night would compare how many people we scared away before they got inside. Max made me feel welcome that year and I won't forget his kindness.

Dear Levy Family and Closest Ones,

Max is an awesome guy, seared into my memory. May his memory be for blessing for all of us; carried in our hearts and coming to mind, into the rest of our lives.

Thank you for the opportunity to laugh with you, Max. Thank you for having a cool family, by birth and by choice.

Love,

Gigi

My deepest Condolence to Max's family and friends. I worked with Max for the last 12 years at Pirates of Emerson. We had our inside jokes and took many selfies over the years. He was always a kind face to see upon getting to the fair grounds. He was one of the beautiful souls that made me feel welcomed when I started to work there way back in 2014. He loved to tell me about his car and we'd chat about the haunt the night before. I'm grateful I knew him. I'll be dedicating some of my scares this season to you Max <3 I hope you find peace in the journey ahead
