Max Alan Levy, 38, passed away on Sept. 4th, 2025 in Reno, NV. Born seven weeks early, Max came into this world fighting to stay alive. This fight in his heart radiated to all other aspects of his life. He loved every person he met unconditionally and was a pillar in any community he found himself devoted to. If you were lucky enough to experience Max's love, you'll remember it forever.

Sept. 14, 2025: We understand there will be questions about Max's death but we do not know many details. We believe he died of natural causes. A celebration of life to include Max's friends and family will be planned. Details will be shared on EverLoved once available.

Update from Dec. 2, 2025

Dec. 2, 2025: To all Max’s family and friends, after waiting 11 weeks for results of our son/brother, we finally have answers to why Max passed. According to the medical examiner's report, he had Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease. This means an artery in Max's heart was blocked and his heart had to work extra hard to pump blood around his body.

One of the leading causes of this disease is smoking, along with diet and other factors. We would like to encourage everyone that knew and loved Max to quit smoking and vaping. If you need help, call 1-800-QUIT-NOW for free resources.

These results don’t change our feelings of him leaving our world. We are all missing Max and he will always be with us.

The plans for his Celebration of Life are still pending in the Bay Area. We are aiming for May of 2026, near his birthday.
