On June 27, 2023, our family lost a loyal friend, companion, and guardian, one that we are eternally grateful to have had. We rescued Mavis from a family in Dallas and were smitten from the very second we saw her face. May May was a mixed breed dog and was the best family pet we could’ve asked for.

After almost 4 years of keeping our family together, Mavis took her final breath peacefully, surrounded by everyone that loved her. We know that we’ll see May May again at some time, and until then, we have cherished memories to warm our hearts and souls. We love you, Mavis and you will always be in our hearts .

Mavis leaves behind her beloved mother, Vel M. Lewis; her sisters, Talia Booker and Calisha Holden; and her nieces and nephews, Spencer Swift, Ethan Runnels, JaiLynn Holden, Jeremiah Bailey, Damion Lawson Jr, and Hercules Holden.
