It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Maurice Willis, who left us peacefully on September 12, 2023. Born on July 20, 1933, Maurice lived a fulfilling life filled with love and joy. His timeless wisdom, charming wit and kind heart will be profoundly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Maurice worked at Cone Mills White Oak.  Where he was a supervisor and retired after 50 years.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Lamb, and son Paul Willis and his surviving wife Cathy Willis. 

He is survived by his loving  wife  Olivia of 67 years.  Children:  Gary,  Mark (Cheryl),  Susan (Dennisa). Grandkids: Amber (Shaun),  Rebecca,  Garey (Ellen), Nina (Alan),  Ethan, Wade,   Traci (Thomas),  Ryan (Ashley), and 10 Great-grandchildren. 

 Memories of him will continue to inspire and guide  his family,  living on as a poignant reminder of Maurice’s incredible journey of life. His spirit lives on in those he touched.

Maurice's memory will be forever cherished by his family, friends and loved ones. Rest in peace, Maurice. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
