Maureen's obituary

Maureen (Studley) Romano 67, Cape May Court House, NJ

Maureen went to the angels on June 16, 2022, but she’ll fit right in. She was born March 22, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in Huntingdon Valley. Attending Lower Moreland High School, she honed her love of singing with the Concert Choir, performing throughout the state and northeast. After graduation she attended Gwynedd Mercy College earning a Bachelors in Nursing and a Masters in Nursing Administration. Maureen moved to Cape May in 1994 and it quickly became her home. In 1997, she married Steve Romano, building a life and cruising the Caribbean annually, until his passing in 2018.

Maureen was an avid sewer and loved doing handicrafts. Her handmade gifts were always cherished by both friends and family. She held a generous heart until the end, always giving of herself to family, friends, her church and the community.

Maureen is survived by her sisters, Barbara Beaman and Anita Stiles, brother-in-law Greg Stiles, niece, Ashley Millhiser and spouse Jason, nephew, John Stiles and spouse Jennifer; grand nieces, Shannon Fisher, Leah Stiles and grandnephew Arthur Millhiser. The “kiddos” she liked to spoil. She will be greatly missed by her church family at Calvary Baptist in Ocean View whose kindness and support she often spoke.

Memorial Service to be held 6 PM, Wednesday June 22, 2022 at

Calvary Baptist Church, 2373 Shore Road, Ocean View, NJ.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Calvary Baptist Church in Maureen’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
