Maureen's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maureen McCusker, who left this world on July 29, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on January 14, 1956, in Faribault, Minnesota, to Alvin and Lenore Pobanz.

Maureen is survived by her loving husband Timothy McCusker, whom she married in 1976 and they were blessed with three children: Molly, Lucas, and Beau. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Tania and two cherished grandchildren: Annie and Jack.

Maureen was a graduate of Bethlehem Academy high school, class of 1974. In earlier years, she liked traveling out west and visiting with old classmates. During her working years, she was a proud hockey mom and an Interior Designer spreading aesthetics with her artistic talents across southern Minnesota before retiring in 2015. In later years, Maury dedicated time with her husband working on their cabin and exploring the landscapes of northern Minnesota.

Known for her vibrant personality and humorous honesty, Maureen had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed attending art shows and festivals, exploring nature through hiking and camping, playing cards, spending time with her beloved dog and grandkids, relaxing with a good book, and showcasing her skills as a cooking extraordinaire.

Though she may be gone, Maureen will forever be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind heart, generous spirit, and love for her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements have been set for Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m located at The Chapel of the Good Shepherd on Upper Shattuck Campus, 1000 Shumway Ave, Faribault, MN 55021 followed by a Celebration of Life at the Shattuck Inn from 2:00 pm to 5:00pm.
