Matthew Jered Pilapil, 23, of Warren, PA, went into the arms of his Savior, after a brave health battle, Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Matthew was born July 6, 2000, in Titusville, PA.

He is the cherished and firstborn son of Joylynn Danae, and older brother of Gabriel Jeren.

Matthew professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his favorite Scripture verse is Joshua 1:9.

He was a 2019 graduate of Warren Area High School, having been an honor student throughout his academic career.

He was employed in the nursing field and also had training as an EMT.

Matthew used his love and training when he became a hero in saving his mother’s life during a near-fatal emergency.

He enjoyed playing multiple sports throughout his life, including- baseball, football and basketball.

He played Jr. Varsity and Varsity.

Matthew was an avid sports lover- especially hockey, loved and enjoyed nature, music, cars and art.

In addition to his mother and brother, Matthew is survived by his precious Son; maternal grandmother, Beverly Alford of Louisiana;  maternal cousins, the Jason Cox family of Texas; maternal aunt and godmother, Monica Aldrich, and paternal-brother, Cody Andrusky, both of Titusville; and many friends.

Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal uncle, Troy Ince II of Louisiana.

Joylynn wishes to thank all that have ever loved or shown kindness to her son in this life.
