Matthew's obituary
Matt was FULL of life! He approached everything full speed ahead. He was continually bettering himself, improving his mind, and was always seeking knowledge. He was a voracious historian, a kid who watched the history channel instead of cartoons, a talented athlete, and a passionate traveler - a true student of life - who experienced many corners of the world in his 28 years. He was introduced to ultimate frisbee in his senior year of high school. In college his love of the sport grew. He learned comradery, sportsmanship and developed into a beautiful spirited young man, creating strong, life-long relationships. He was pursuing his passion as an engineer when he left us.
Matt possessed a dry wit, was always smiling and had a warm hug and a genuine interest in everyone he knew, met, worked with, befriended, loved- he was sensitive and always tried to be the best friend he could be. He was generous with his love and an extremely loyal friend with a wonderful band of brothers.
He was thoughtful, insightful, inquisitive and artistic!
Matt was an old soul, and wise beyond his years. He is survived by his sisters (Samantha, Rhiannon and Madison) brother (Jake), mother (Amy), stepmother (Julie) and father (Bill). His love for his family was unending. He was a devoted brother and a self-proclaimed momma’s boy. His dad supported and guided him always to become his best self.
He touched many lives and left us all better people to have known him. He will be sorely missed.
