Matthew's obituary
Matthew “Matt” Alexander Lindsay, 41 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Matt is survived by his mother, Regina J. Werninger and his brothers Michael C. Lindsay and Bryan A. Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen C. Lindsay. Nephew of Mitchell J. Thiele, Lawrence W. Brink and the late Ramona L. Brink. Cousin to Ryan M. Brink and Erin A. Brink.
He was born on October 15, 1982, in St. Louis, MO and attended Lindbergh High School through 2001. Over the years, he worked as a construction laborer and a riverboat deckhand. As a child, Matt participated in The Muny Student Theatre program for several summers. His passions growing up included reading and writing, fishing, and boxing at South Broadway Athletic Club. He also played soccer while attending Holy Cross, where he set a record for the most hattricks in a season. He was known by his loved ones for his tenacious spirit and authenticity. He loved his family deeply.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Eliot Unitarian Chapel in Kirkwood, MO. The service will begin at 11:00 am, and the luncheon will immediately follow until 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend the service and luncheon to celebrate Matt’s life.
