Matthew's obituary
While Matt was born in Kentucky, being a member of a military family, he called many places home, Texas, Missouri, Washington DC, West Germany, Colorado and finally Idaho. It was likely this start that lead to his love of travel. In his 45 years on this earth, he visited over 20 different countries across 5 continents. What was amazing about Matt, even with all the exotic places he’d been and all the adventurous things he’d done, he still appreciated the simple beauty of everyday life, a squirrel bustling in the backyard or a walk in the park with his sons.
Matt was diagnosed with an immune deficiency at a young age and while some might take the prognosis as an excuse to sit on the sidelines, Matt took it as a challenge. He was not going to let his diagnosis define him, in fact he was going to prove it wrong everyday by living life to the fullest. While it eventually took his life, the only regret Matt had was not seeing his boys grow up.
Matt is predeceased by his mother Jan (Teefey) Hall. He is survived by his wife Stephanie and sons Hayes (12) and Jack (3); his father Jack; brothers Daniel and Joshua (Jenna Woodman); nieces Hannah, Emmaly, Kaylen, Adelyn, Grace, Alaina, Savannah, Sage, and Saxton; nephews Teagan, Cooper, Luke, and Samuel; in-law’s Wayne and Janet Greufe, Amy (Dave) Trask, Toni (Steve) Neuberger, and Lindsay (Herschal) Jacquay.
