I only met Matthew a couple of times but he really seemed to be one of the good guys. Truth to the old saying "Only the good die young". His mom Greta and my late wife were first cousins. Stay strong Greta.
I was so saddened to hear about Matthew's passing. I am very grateful that he and I were able to meet and get to know each other over the recent years. Even though we did not grow up together, he will always hold a special place. Matthew was truly a bright soul that will continue to shine in pictures, thoughts and memories for many.

Matt will always be remembered in my heart as a kind, funny, happy soul who appreciated things that went fast! 🤪 I am grateful to have known him and send my deepest condolences & so incredibly much love to all of his family. ❣️
I will always remember Matt as kind and thoughtful with an easy laugh. He loved his family and was generous to those close to him. He was the definition of a great guy.

I will miss him.
I always think of Matt with smile. I didn’t get to spend time with him these last few years but kept up with his life through Facebook and his dad. Any time I spoke to others of my nieces and nephews I’d describe Matt as a sweet gentle bear. I know he enjoyed his travels and his gadgets and his friends, his sister, his mom and living life with gusto. He will be greatly missed by you all and I send my deepest condolences.

Matt I met you maybe a couple of times years ago. There was no denying that you and Jana were related....the same dry sense of humor and the same bigger than life kind , and generous people!
It surely looks like you cast an “incredible spell” on those around you and they will all cherish your memory!❤️
Sweet, loving, kind, wise, considerate, thoughtful, giving , listener, non judgmental, smart, mysterious, teasing, sarcastic and dry sense of humor, that I must admit I didn’t always get... There are not enough pages to put down all the memories... I am so grateful that I am blessed to be a part of his life. I am not the easiest person... once we became adults we had an incredible relationship. I am so grateful that he is surrounded by wonderful friends and family that love him as much as he loves them. Matt lives his life to fullest on his terms. He did not miss out on getting any toy. Thank you so much for sharing your stories and photos I love seeing them.

The essence of Matthew was exhibited on our trip to Egypt. A group of 5 of us broke away from the pack to explore a real Egyptian bazaar.  A young Egyptian woman wearing a burqa approached. She called out ‘’Matthew!’, ran up to him and gave him a big hug.” The shocked look on my face, was one Matthew teased me about over the years. C’mon..really?? This is Cairo! It turned out she was our ship’s masseuse.  Everywhere Matthew went people were attracted to his bigger than life personality.
He was the best traveling buddy ever.

Matt, your kindness and friendliness are what I remember about you. We all had some fun times and I'm so glad I had the pleasure of knowing you. You had a gentle, loving spirit about you. You will be missed by all who knew you.
Matt, you were a kind and gentle spirit, you lived your life to its fullest. You were so easy to talk to, but so hard to say good-bye to.
We will love and miss you ALWAYS!
