Hello Crawford Family.

I want to give my sincerest condolences. I never met Matthew but in coming to a friends I saw Matthew’s and how deeply he was loved. Death is extremely painful and it leaves a gaping hole in our heart and lives. At times it can feel unbearable to know our loved one is not with us. Please take comfort in knowing our God Jehovah cares for you and your family. He also cares about Matthew and he promises to bring many of our loved ones back to life. He will bring a resurrection where he will call out many of our loved ones names and bring them out of the memorial tombs (John 5:28,29). When they come back to life they will return to a new world absent of pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:4) I hope these promises bring you and your family comfort and strength.

Heartfelt prayers for your family. Matt was a very special church brother who always gave of himself in support of others, especially to those of the SVCC men's group. I could always count on his support. He was a blessing.
I am so sorry for your lost. He was a good man. I love you all❤️

Dear Esther, Ben, Ethan and Hanna,

I had the great privilege of being Matthew's God Mother. I prayed for him everyday, and we had a lifelong relationship. When I became Matthew's God Mom, it was as if he was a little insignificant stone. Over the years, this little stone got chipped away, sanded on , shaped with blunt instruments, and at the end polished. This little stone  became a 24k piece of pure gold, radiant, shining, and pure! I know he is in good hands now, he certainly will be keeping an eye on his dear wife, and children he loved so dearly. Jesus we put dear Matthew in your ❤️  loving hands.. Matthew I love you dearly and will always be with your beautiful family in my prayers, with deep love, your God Mom!

Matt was always right there when I reached out for help for our women's events at church.  Whether it was setting up the sanctuary after an event, or being a server at our Ladies Tea each year, he served with a glad heart!

Matt, the younger days, he drove way to fast… in his Volkswagen.

Matt, he was my brothers best friend, but always helped me, Billy’s little sister, in times of trouble.

Matt, I told you that I don’t do single track paths on the ski slopes !!

And how did Matt find Esther, his better half in life?  Not sure, but I love her too

Love you Matt in heaven!  Love you Esther!

Esther, Ben, Ethan and Hanna—you are in our thoughts nonstop and we are here for you-always. Matt was a close friend that was more like family—we have so many great memories of our vacations, outings,  family bbqs/gatherings and more. He was honest, reliable, quick-witted, family loving / family first, music loving, trusted and generous (especially to those in need) than most people ever knew. He will be missed — but will always be in our hearts. With so much love—Renee and The BrotherBears as he named us :)  —

Matt, Renee, Zoie and Maya Brotherton
