I am sorry for your loss. Coach Clouser was my first football coach and really brought joy to the game. His joy for the game rubbed off on me and really inspired me to love the game as well. I'll never forget Coach coming out to warmups bouncing around and hollering with joy before we did "ropes and dummies". He was a great man and was always super positive to be around. As it is with coaching, you are most appreciated once your former players become adult men themselves, and I have learned to appreciate Coach Matt more and more each year. I was so sorry to hear about his passing and I will be praying for your family and loved ones.

Matthew was one of my best family friends.  I am so fortunate to have shared so many wonderful childhood experiences with him.  Matt was always so kind to me then and even as adults.  He was like a brother to me because we did so many things together,  the entire Clouser family.   From Church,  to time at the lake house to trips to the beach and in the pool...so many memories to mention.   I will never forget how he always watched out for me. (Matt and I were the same age).  Praying for the family for the comfort God gives us🙏

To all of you, my deepest condolences. I just realized it’s been almost 20 years since Matt hired me at Dixieland, and when I got a teaching job Bob asked me to stay on and come on Saturdays. Time flew and suddenly years had passed.  It’s only fitting that both of you pass during fireworks season.

Matt, you were such a joker, such a prankster. I’ll always be grateful for you giving my husband a chance to get back into coaching football and encouraging him to come work at Madison Academy.

Your family is grown now, with littles of their own and I know he is so stinkin proud. I know he is fully restored and goofing around in heaven.

Rest in Peace, dear friend.

I didn't know Matt (or Kim) that well as I graduated the year before they did, but I do remember him being a staple of the Madison Academy football team, and a very well liked and respected fellow student! I am heartbroken for Kim and the entire family, and my prayers are with you all!

Kim and family, we are very sorry to hear of Matt’s passing.  He was a great friend to Tim and very compassionate.  Our prayers are with you all.

Tim Giffin’s family

Kim,  Luke, May, Bethany, Audrey and families, It’s hard to find words to express my feelings.  Matt was a fine Christian man and he will be missed!  Death is something we are never expecting but must be prepared for and I know Matt was.  I remember him from before he and Kim were married and he always impressed me.  May God bless each of you is my prayer!
