I saw your post on Matts FB and did not connect the dots and thought Matts father passed.  This is really sad.  So sorry for your loss.  Matt and I spent quite a bit of time together through high school and shortly after until i went away to college and lost touch. Once i got back in the area i would see him around town -usually at Loomis Basin Brewery.  He was still the same guy with an even bigger heart.  Even though lots of time passed seeing each other, it was like no time passed. He was one of the nicest humans I ever met.  This hurts.

Matthew had a big heart!  I recall walking through parts of Roseville with him knocking on doors to encourage people to vote in a coming election.  Another time he volunteered his time to help a person I knew whose mobile home needed electrical repairs she could not afford.  He loved the Loomis community and volunteered to work for social justice with Placer People of Faith Together!   I am sure he now rests in the arms of is loving Creator.

Matt will be greatly missed at our family gatherings. He had a great sense of humor.  Love you and miss you Matt.
My dad took my brother and I camping on the American River around the time of my tenth birthday.  He took us fishing while we were there, and on my birthday I caught my first fish.  It was a rainbow trout, which he immediately cleaned and pan fried for us to enjoy.  Thank you dad. I love you.
