Matthew Richard Gillum, 45, of Georgetown, Texas went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday April 29th, 2025. He was born on December 3rd, 1979 in Taylor, Texas to Algerita Gillum and Gary Gillum. He grew up with one younger brother. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1998 and he pursued a degree in Business and became an ordained minister. Matthew worked, managed, and operated entire sections of Equipment Management for Construction Companies. Throughout his career his greatest accomplishment was his management role in the Fleet / Equipment division for one of the largest construction companies in the State of Texas. He was known for his contagious smile, helpful soul and dedication to his family and friends. He married his soul mate Vanessa Gillum, on July 11th, 2015 at their family home under the magical oak tree. With this marriage came two amazing boys that Matt raised as his own, Jay and Jaxon and then two spontaneous twins, Alexa and Piper. Matt dedicated his life to, all things horses, team roping, drag racing, and most importantly helping bring out the best in others and his family. Matt is preceded in death by his Father, Gary Gillum. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Vanessa; children, Jay Wirth, Jaxon Wirth, Alexa Gillum and Piper Gillum; mother, Algerita Gillum; brother Cory Gillum; and a large extended FRamily.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm with services to follow on Saturday May 3rd, 2025 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. A special thank you to C.C.Carlton Family for their generosity and support. Graveside and then Celebration of Life to follow at the Circleville Store.
