Masonna's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved great-grandmother, Massonna White, who entered eternal rest on October 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old.
Born on May 2, 1931, in Jackson, Mississippi, Massonna grew up with a deep love for family, faith, and community. In her early years, she moved to Minnesota, where she built a beautiful life filled with compassion, laughter, and resilience.
Massonna was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering kindness. She found joy in the simple things—morning coffee on her porch, gospel music playing in the kitchen, and the laughter of her grandchildren echoing through the house. Her home was always a place of comfort and warmth, where everyone knew they were welcome.
She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a nurse’s aide for over three decades. Even after retirement, she continued to serve her community through church events and volunteer work.
Massonna’s legacy lives on through her four children, nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her love and wisdom in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph White, and her daughter, Candita Castro White, loving parents Dewey and Francesca Rucker .
A celebration of Massonna’s life will be held on Thursday October 23 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Her spirit will be remembered in every smile, every prayer, and every act of kindness inspired by her love.
