Mason's obituary
Mason Daniel Saenz, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, left this world unexpectedly on September 15, 2024, at the age of 30, following a tragic motorcycle accident in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. In the same vibrant coastal city, Mason's passion for life, adventure, and the open road was evident from a very young age.
Mason's early love for all things mechanical blossomed into a fulfilling career and proud shop owner of Coastal Performance, as a well-respected motorcycle, jet ski, and boat mechanic. His skillful hands and keen eye for detail made him a beloved figure in the Corpus Christi motorsports community. Mason’s passion extended beyond his work. He was an avid motorcycle rider and racer, often seen zooming along the Texas coastline, the wind in his hair, and a smile on his face. His love for fishing offered him a serene contrast to the adrenaline of the racetrack, where he found peace and contentment by the water.
A devoted pet owner, Mason's loyal dog Osso was a constant companion, whether by his side during a quiet evening at home or tagging along on one of his many outdoor adventures. Their bond was a beautiful sight to all who knew them, encapsulating the unconditional love and friendship between man and his best friend.
He is survived by his loving family: father, Daniel Saenz; his mother, Terry Sanchez; his step parents Jenny Brumley and Jimmy Sanchez; his sister, Magan Frederick, and her husband, Jason and their two children Grayson and Lincoln; and his sister, Candice Schanen, and her husband, Eric, along with their 3 children Hayden, Zander and Payton; Stepbrother Michael Brumley and his wife Brittany. His absence creates a void that echoes the revving of a motorcycle engine, once a symbol of his approach, now a poignant reminder of the vitality he embodied.
Those who knew Mason understood that his life was one of motion and freedom, a theme captured by the words of American poet and author Maya Angelou, who once said, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Mason's life, though tragically brief, was a collection of breathtaking moments—each ride, each wave, each catch, and each laugh a snapshot of a life lived to the fullest.
Mason's legacy is one of living life to the fullest, embracing each day with a smile, and never hesitating to lend a hand. His ability to light up a room with his humor and to tackle any challenge with his practical skills made him an unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew him.
In remembrance of Mason, let us take a moment to reflect on the adventures we share, the friendships we cherish, and the moments that take our breath away. Let us honor his memory by living life as he did – with courage, love, and a touch of wildness that reminds us that every day is a gift to be unwrapped with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Mason's departure leaves behind a silence where once was the revving of engines and the echo of laughter. Yet, in the hearts of those who loved him, his spirit endures—forever racing on the winds, forever casting lines into the shimmering sea, forever a part of the stories that will be told for generations to come. Rest in peace, Mason, until we meet again on that endless highway in the sky. Give Heaven some Hell.
