Mason's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our sweet baby boy Mason Michael Martin. Born on September 25, 2024, Mason embarked on his final journey on April 6, 2025. Mason, AKA Masonite & Masonic, or simply Mason, was a beacon of curiosity, with a larger-than-life personality and an old soul. His eyes were big, brown and beautiful with long curly eyelashes. He could tell you exactly what he was thinking with those eyes and eye brows. He was very playful, loved being read and sung too. He was a busy baby.
Mason is survived by his loving mother and father; Monique Almendares and Christian Martin as well as his little brother Mateo Almendares. His parents stood by him throughout every step of his journey, offering unconditional love, comfort, and support, and will continue to uphold his memory in the years to come.
We will honor the life and legacy of Mason during a memorial service at the Church of Saint Raphael on April 25, 2025 at 7pm Loved ones, acquaintances, and those whose lives were touched by Mason are all welcome to pay their respects.
Though he was known to be a bit nosey at times, this trait was a testament to his natural curiosity and desire to understand the world around him. Mason lived his life guided by patience, strength, and a spirit that refused to surrender. He was a fighter, demonstrating bravery and giving his all to every challenge he faced. As though echoing in his wake, the lessons he imparted continue to inspire those he left behind.
To know Mason was to love him. This was one of his greatest accomplishments, the ability to touch hearts and create lasting bonds. Mason had his own tribe a very special one at that surrounded by his primary nurses and doctors who worked with him and will deeply feel his absence, but his influence will live on. Mason's story—one of bravery, tenacity, and undying spirit—will remain his enduring legacy.
As we mourn his departure, we know that Mason's spirit, indomitable and vibrant, will continue to guide and inspire. He may be gone from our sight, but he will never be absent from our hearts. Mason left an imprint on so many hearts and we're grateful for that. Although the whole world never got to meet him the ones that did experience him were some of the most beautiful intelligent people we have ever met. Mason was deeply loved, cared for and enjoyed more than anyone could ever imagine. This might sound strange but within his own life he lived his life to the fullest little rebel spending hours awake playing not wanting to miss a beat and being held for hours on end as well. We are grateful to have met him and lived him it was the most beautiful experience and story of love.
