Mason's obituary

Mason Coy Clover was the absolute love of our lives. Our beautiful daughters simply adored their daddy. Our hearts are broken and shattered without him with us. Mason and I have always wanted our girls to go to college and live their lives to the best extent they can. We have been putting money back as we can for their college and this is what donations will go to. Bettering Everly and Elleigh’s lives. Our world will never be the same but we are going to live through the strength he will provide us. He would have done anything for us so we know he will still provide his love and support to get us through this.

Mason talked wonderfully about every one of his coworkers and customers. He simply LOVED his job. He was was so ecstatic to grow with the company hoping to become a team lead soon. Equivant made Mason feel as though he was family within his job and I can not thank you all enough for making the last year of his life so happy within his workplace.

We ask for prayers. Prayers for strength for mommy to be strong for our beautiful daughters. God bless all of you and mason and I are so grateful for all of your support.

OBITUARY:

Mason Clover wasn’t the average 23 year old, his fiancée Jilyssa, and their two beautiful daughters Everly and Elleigh were the light of his life. He was devoted…..devoted to his family and devoted to showering his girls with love, attention and security. In the midst of his softer side, Mason also embraced his rugged “country life”.

Mason Clover passed away far too soon, Tuesday evening October 3, 2023 from a motorcycle accident. He was just 23.

Mason was born January 1, 2000 in Marion. He graduated from Lexington High School in 2018 where he played safety on the varsity football team. From a young age, Mason’s grandfather, JR Casto invested and molded Mason into the dependable young man that he’d become.

Mason worked for Equivant where he served as Customer Care Analyst.

His family was his focus. He loved playing with his babies, spending every night at home helping Jilyssa with the late night and early morning duties of feeding, changing, and cuddling with his daughters. Mason cared for and showed Jilyssa his love in so many ways.

He enjoyed cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49rs. Autumn equaled football season and weekends were spent cheering for his teams. He always kept busy with home repair projects and enjoyed working on his vehicles, and riding his Harleys.

He loved his country life which included the standard, nightly bon fire, wood cutting, and breaking-in trails on his property. He loved life and was the life of the party. Mason was ready to tell the next joke, often times taking it a little too far. His friends looked up to him. In a way, Mason was an old soul; he was wise beyond his years.

Mason is survived by his fiancée Jilyssa Foss; daughters Everly Jean Clover and Elleigh Mae Clover; parents Jessica Clover and Carlos Clover; sister Madison Clover; grandmothers Bonnie Clover and Bonnie Casto; great grandfather Thomas Casto Sr.; aunt Erin Mitchell; father-in-law and mother-in-law Rob and Debi Foss; sister-in-law Jenelle Foss; brother-in-law Steve Baker; nephews and nieces Brody, Grace, Cayden, and Lexi Baker; uncle and aunt John and Lynda Price; cousin Jacob Price; his closest friends Devon Stroud, Noah Kabbaz, Colin Jamieson, Seth Price, and Keslyr Hooper; as well as his beloved cat Bags.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather JR Casto and great grandmother Tricia Casto.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 3-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where Mason’s funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward Everly and Elleigh’s college fund. Please make all donations payable to Jilyssa Foss.
