Earlene's obituary

Maryln Earlene Foster passed peacefully Sunday, September 26th at age 86 in her home. She was born in Tryon, NC on February 6th, 1935. She is proceeded in death by her husband James Bradford Foster and was the mother to 5 living children. She is predeceased by one sibling and is the eldest of six siblings. A proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She enjoyed time with family, her cat, birds, cooking, gardening, and church. She became a registered nurse and graduated from USC in 1992. Known to some as Judge Judy, she always spoke her mind especially during her nursing career. Earlene will be remembered as a strong, kind, sassy, ambitious, and witty woman who never complained and always looked to a better future. In July she was given 6 weeks to live; she never let that bother her and lived four months alert and still giving her children nursing instructions. She loved and lived every moment she was given. Neither hard times nor illness robbed her of who she was. Earlene will be forever cherished and remembered by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
501 St. Jude Place
Memphis, TN 38105
