Background
The Jack DuBois "Live Like Jack" Memorial Scholarship will be awarded in honor of our son and brother, Jack DuBois, a 2018 graduate of Shore Regional High School. During his time at Shore, Jack was an honor student and athlete - participating in basketball and baseball - and was voted "Most School Spirit" by his classmates senior year. Jack attended the University of Delaware where he was a Dean's List Student and a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.
The "Live Like Jack" phrase was coined by his fraternity brothers because of the impact Jack made on so many people. "We are choosing now to live our lives exactly the way he lived his: with high regard for generosity and selflessness." Whether you knew Jack for a long time or just a few minutes, his infectious smile and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression.
Guidelines: This scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior at Shore Regional High School, who has continually exemplified the following characteristics, all which are traits that Jack possessed.
Selfless: Jack always put others before himself.
Inclusive: Jack always welcomed others and made everyone feel like they belonged.
Leader: By his example and character, Jack encouraged his peers to do and be their best.
Generous: Jack was truly kindhearted and always giving of his time when someone needed assistance.
Financial Award: A scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00 will be awarded to one senior planning to attend a 4 year college, 2 year community college, or vocational/trade school. Contribute
