Marybelle Collins Richardson was born on July 12, 1950 in Jackson, Mississippi  to Louis Collins and Samuel Collins. She married her long time sweetheart Melvin Richardson and together they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.

She is survived by her only son Joshua Richardson and her step daughter Tyeshia Richardson and her sister Betty Collins Jackson. She was preceded in death by her brother Edward Collins 

Marybelle will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, sense of humor, strong faith, love of gardening, dedication to family, and her church. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, faith, strength.

A funeral service will be held on August 28, 2025 at 10am at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
