Maryann's obituary
Maryann Ricci, 64
Born August 26, 1961, passed away April 14, 2026.
She was a woman of resilience, wisdom, and strength. Her sense of humor, strong will, and refreshing honesty, often with a touch of bluntness, brought joy to those around her in her final months.
Maryann was predeceased by her beloved parents, Marilyn and Thomas Grossi, as well as her sister-in-law, Kimberly Grossi. Her life will continue to be celebrated by her three children, Farah Pazienza, Thomas Ricci, and Tori Ricci, who are the pinnacle of her legacy. Her life will be remembered fondly by her Grandson, Andru Stephens, her siblings, Carol Lombardi, Linda Mazzeo, and Gary Grossi. Her brother-in-law, David Lombardi also survives her, as well as many others.
Those close to her knew that her humorous, strong, and honest demeanor carried her through some of her most difficult times and were among her most cherished qualities.
Maryann was an avid reader of non-fiction books, always striving to learn and grow from each one she read. She loved cooking and experimenting with new recipes. A sweet tooth at heart, Tiramisu was her all-time favorite dessert. She loved to travel, but the beach was always her favorite place to relax and take a break from the hardships of life. She spent many years caring for her father Thomas at Matunuck Beach and Florida. Where she made her home the last ten years.
Maryann's best life lesson was an embodiment of her personal philosophy: "Never pretend to be someone you aren't". This authenticity was shown through her actions, conversations, and relationships, and will be carried on by those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, Maryann's family has graciously requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. You may donate at https://everloved.com/life-of…
Maryann will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy and love for her family and life will continue to inspire those left behind.
