Maryann was tiny in stature but large in life. I met Maryann just after her initial treatments for breast cancer 32 years ago. We connected immediately. I invited Maryann to ladies' Bible study/meetings at the Tabernacle in Sarasota, FL where she gave her life to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Although Maryann was a strong person, her strength mushroomed with Christ as her Lord and Saviour. This incredibly powerful woman overcame the most intense situations in life, she never gave up! Maryann suffered the loss of her business by an inscrupulous individual while in treatment for cancer. She went on! As a single mom she faced many challenges, the biggest challenge was the death of her youngest son, David. She went on. She stopped working to care for her fiance, Carl as he succumbed to cancer. She was with him until the very painful, devastating end of his life. She went on. When her aging mother's health declined, Maryann moved her from NY to live with her in SC to care for her. When her mom passed away, Maryann went on. Whatever Maryann pursued in her employment career, she succeeded. She was creative and was an incredible asset to every position she held in every company that employed her. I can testify to this as I was her supervisor in several arenas in home health. Maryann always had a peaceful countenance no matter what. And she had every reason to fall apart, but she went on. Maryann was my BFF. I could call her no matter what time of day or night and she was always there. We went through tremendous trials together and joyful times as well. I miss her desperately and she will always reside in my heart.
