Maryann Christenson, 84, of Dewitt, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at home. There will be no public services. A private family service will take place.

Maryann was born in Bad Wimpfen, Baden-Württemberg ,Germany on September 17, 1937, a daughter of Otto and Ella Krause. She married John Christenson on August 24, 1956 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on December of 1976.

Maryann spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children (and spouses), Deb (Scott) Maynard, Pella, Valerie (David) Hartman Co., Jennifer (Randy) Millner, Dewitt , and Rita Whitney, Davenport. 12 grandchildren;4 great and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Paula Wakelan, son, John Christenson, grandson, Andrew Ballard and 2 siblings.
