Mary's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Mary Kent Weidner, who left us peacefully on January 16, 2025 at the age of 63.
Born on February 3, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication to family. A person of strength and warmth, she was known for her generosity, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Mary spent much of her life in Florida, where she cultivated lifelong friendships with Myrlande and her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving parents Jack and Martha Weidner, and her dear sister Martha Young. She is survived by her companion, Coach D. C., with whom they shared 24 years of love and partnership. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, compassion, and countless memories.
Mary is also survived by her brother, Jack Weidner. In addition to her brother, Mary is survived by her brother-in-law, Marty Young, his children Sarah (Mike) Whittymore, Charlie (Courtney) Young, Maggie (Beau) Craig. She is also survived by her niece Aeron Weidener, and many grand nieces and nephews who will carry on her memory and cherish the moments they shared. Mary’s family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in being a part of such a close-knit and loving circle.
One of Mary’s most important accomplishments was being a nurse. Mary was a natural in this role and had the privilege to care for many of her family members in their time of need.
Mary was a fun aunt who was always wanting to paint nails, curl hair, and teach the little ones how to play Twenty-One Black Jack.
A private service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Mary's memory.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this time of loss. Mary will forever remain in our hearts, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
We will be holding a celebration of life for Mary on April 5th, 2025 at 1:00 pm (1195 Forest Run Dr. Batavia, OH 45103)
