Mary's obituary
on January 12, 2019. Mary was born on September 3, 1938, in Saluda, S.C. She
was the youngest daughter of the late Lizzie Gray and Marvin Richardson, Sr. both
of Saluda, S.C.
Mary attended Fruit Hill Elementary School and graduated from Riverside, H.S.
in Saluda, S.C. Shortly after graduating she moved to New York City. While a resident
of St. Albans, N.Y. she was a member of The Lutheran Church of Resurrection.
She worked several jobs before finding her calling as an Administrator for the
New York State Court System, After 26 years, she retired in 2000, and in 2001
relocated with her family to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she witnessed her last
sunrise.
She is survived by her three sons: Anthony Wallace (Laura) of Pennsylvania,
Darryl Wallace of Georgia, Shawn Wallace of the home. One grandson Christopher
Wallace of New Jersey. Four sisters and two brothers, Mamie Mason of Delaware,
Hattie Hill of Washington, D.C, Carol and Diane Smith of Saluda S.C, Henry Bell Gray
of New York, Sammy Smith of Saluda, S.C, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Carl Wallace, Jr. of Port St. Lucie,
a sister Caroline Smith, two brothers Marvin (Crack) Richardson, Jr. and Joe Smith all
of Saluda, S.C.
Mary Ella Wallace, with a heart of gold, will be sorely missed.
