My mom, Mary Grace Viramontez, recently passed away unexpectedly due to a tornado. In this episode, I tell the account of what happened in the days after and the miracles and signs that my mom gave me and the entire family to let us know she is okay. One bright note, the dogs she was taking care of survived the tornado and CBS News did a story which provided a moment for everyone to smile despite the tragedy. She loved animals and I’m sure is happy they were not harmed.

Mary Grace Viramontez passed away on Oct. 9, 2024, in Fort Pierce, Fla., at the age of 70, due to a tornado that took place during Hurricane Milton. She was born on Nov. 23, 1953, in Detroit, Mich., to mother Maria Barrios, active church leader, and José Moreno Viramontez, World War II veteran and welder. Mary was one of 12 children, including 11 daughters and one son.
