Mary was also a precious twin sister to Anna Labazzo and big sister to Jimmy Szollosi. She was also a beloved aunt to Cheryl Labazzo and Anthony Tattoli. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Anthony & Michael Ujhazy, Jimmy, Jason & Rachel Runzer, Rebecca, David, Hannah, Sarah & Leah Derby, and great granddaughter, Kendall.
Mary was predeceased by her loving parents, George and Mary Szollosi, devoted husband, Antal Ujhazy, her brother, George Szollosi, and her sister, Marion Tattoli, and their memories continue to live in our hearts.
A woman of simple tastes and pleasures, Mary’s favorite treats were TastyCake donuts and a good cup of hot coffee, light and sweet. An avid sports fan, she rooted passionately for the Giants. She enjoyed watching television and her favorite TV channel was The Game Show Network. She could often be found tending to her beautiful gardens filled with stunning flowers and vegetables, and admiring her impressive Koi pond. She had a true talent for cooking, especially her secret recipe potato salad and authentic Hungarian foods. Her relaxation spot was the sunny state of Florida, where she loved to vacation when her children were growing up.
Described as kind, soft-spoken, and caring, Mary was the heart of her family. "Be kind to others," she often spoke these words and truly lived by them, and it is this legacy of kindness she leaves behind.
Mary’s passing is a profound loss to us all, even though we know she is at peace after a long, difficult battle. As we remember her, we are reminded of her gentle spirit and generous heart. She was the bedrock of our family and her absence will be deeply felt. We will always love you and you will always be in our hearts.
