I'm so sorry to learn that we've lost Mary. I knew her through her writing and from being with her at conferences. I'll miss her cheerful, kind friendship.

I learned of Mary's death belatedly, and am so sorry to hear it. We became friends through the mystery community - Sisters in Crime, the Sherlockians of The Red Circle, and Nero Wolfe fans of The Wolfe Pack. She was a serious mystery writer, contributing numerous short stories to anthologies and publishing her first novel in 2022, "Sissy Holmes and the Case of the Dead Hypnotist." We were also frequent buddies at the mystery conferences Bouchercon and Malice Domestic. I looked for her at the latest Malice, April 25-27, and was concerned when I didn't see her, even though she was registered to attend. Mary, I will miss you. RIP.

My condolences to Mary’s family. I have known Mary for about ten years. She was a mahjong friend. She was so lovely and told us so many stories about her life and family. She even hosted our group at her home a couple times. We will truly miss her. She was loved by the mahjong ladies and we are sad to say goodbye.
