Stacy's obituary
We deeply regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Seibel (nee Icenhour), lovingly known as Stacy, who was born on August 30, 1962, and departed this life on August 31, 2023. Stacy was a pillar of strength, resilience, and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
Stacy is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Arthur Seibel, her daughters, Judy Lloyd and Danielle Heil, and her cherished son-in-law, Eddie Heil. She was a doting grandmother to Harleen, Liam, and Levi Heil. She is also survived by her siblings, Julie Vincent, Edward Icenhour, Harry Bestland Jr., and Shirley Morris, and her stepfather, Harry Bestland. She leaves behind a sister-in-law, Donna Kensinger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Knill and Mary Bestland, her stepmother, Mary Knill, and her siblings, Gladys Isenhour, Michael Beam, and Kenneth Boyd. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Stacy was a proud graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore, MD, class of 1981. She was tenacious, a beacon of hope, and an emblem of perseverance; a woman who survived breast cancer in 2011. Stacy was a volunteer at the BC Dancers organization, making her mark wherever she went. She loved various genres of music, with some of her favorites being "Stairway to Heaven," country music, Styx, and Heart. She had a soft spot for crime shows, particularly Dr. G, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Midsomer Murders, Father Brown, and anything on Tru Crime TV.
Her pastimes included crafting, watching investigation shows, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Her favorite place to relax and unwind was Ocean City, Maryland, and she had a fondness for the color blue, roses, and dolphins.
A woman of many virtues, Stacy was loving, caring, and kind, yet she had a streak of sarcasm that made her all the more endearing. The lessons she imparted, such as the importance of inclusivity, persistence, and standing up for oneself, will continue to guide those she left behind.
The legacy Stacy leaves behind is defined by her strong daughters and an even stronger granddaughter — a testament to her extraordinary life. She was a woman who celebrated 42 years of marriage, an accomplishment she held close to her heart. Her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts, and she will be profoundly missed.
