Mary Alice “Cookie” Harris Riley of Clayton , Ga. left for her heavenly home April 28, 2019. Mary was born March 9, 1952 in Dearborn, Michigan to Oliver and Marie Self Harris ( Hogsed). She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Riley, her parents, John “J.E” & Marie (Self) Hogsed, and a sister, Teresa Hogsed Palmer.

Mary is survived by daughters; Mary Jimnette Carver Yeary (Jay) of Lakemont, Ga & Tava Carver Bradshaw (Don) of Hiawassee, Ga. Sisters; Louise Watkins (Tom) of Young Harris Ga & Johnnie Loudermilk (Eddie) of Turtletown, TN Grandchildren,; Samantha Grier, Trent Carver, Grayson Carver, Quenn Yeary, Tori Bradshaw, & Chloe Spears. Great-grandchildren; Ryan, Max, KarlieJae, Dylen & Serena . Mary also had several friends she called family.

Mary requested she be remembered with an event that her great grandchildren would find uplifting and joyful. A celebration that her many friends & loved ones could come together in love and remembrance. Please join her family as we celebrate her life on June 1, 2019 4 til 7 pm at Rabun County Recreation Department upper pavilion area.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mary Riley account at United Community Bank to cover final expenses. A mailing address, PayPal or gofundme account is also available by request.
