The Village of Speculator officially declared June 28 as Mary Finkle Day in 1996 — a special day to honor our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Mary Finkle.

Mary meant the world to our family and to so many others in the community. Over her 94 years, she dedicated herself to helping Speculator grow, stay vibrant, and feel like home to everyone. Whether you knew her personally or simply felt the effects of her kindness and energy, you know just how much she loved life, her family, and this town.

To celebrate her life, we’re inviting you to join us for a day full of activities, memories, and moments that reflect the joy she brought into the world. Everything planned for the day is about honoring Mary — her favorite places, her favorite people, and the community she was so proud to be part of.

Whether you can join us for the whole day or just a little bit, we’d love to see you.
