Mary's obituary

Mary Virginia McGatha (Preston) at the age of 86, went home to Jesus peacefully with her loved ones by her side on June 11, 2023, at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger, WI.

Born in Lockwood, MO to father Dump F. Preston and mother Velma Preston on November 22, 1936.

Survived by: Daughters: Kathy (David), Teresa (John), Pamela, Sharon (Pat) and Carolyn (David).

11 Grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Pre-deceased by Parents, Husband: Meredith, Son Douglas, Brother Jimmy, Sister Joann and Son-in-Law John Harshaw.

In her final days she had what she has always needed to get her through, her family. She was surrounded by her beautiful daughters, and loved ones, and she smiled. She heard those 3 treasured words “I love you” countless times from grandchildren and great grandchildren and her frail face glowed with joy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Bland Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, MO.

Visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Service at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would please send donations to The National Down Syndrome Society in Mary’s name.
