Mary's obituary
Mary McCauley, age 101, of Dallas, TX, passed away on February 1, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1922. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mary was known for her kind spirit and loving heart. In her youth, she was voted the most beautiful girl in her senior class. She cherished her family and found joy in spending time with them. Mary also had a strong faith and was a member of First Methodist Church.
She had a fulfilling career, starting as an employee at Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas and later working at the Duncanville Post Office. Mary's dedication and hard work were evident in all that she did.
Outside of work, Mary enjoyed various hobbies including gardening, reading, playing board games with her grandchildren, fishing, and traveling to other states. She found solace and happiness in these activities.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" McCauley, her daughter Marilyn Jeanne Pierot, and her grandson, William Robert "Billy Bob" Pierot. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Gonzalez, her granddaughter, Lisa Allen (husband Jim Allen), her grandson, Jimmy Pierot (wife Misty Pierot), her great-grandchildren Tanner Allen, Jade Stephens, Steve Pierot, Jacob Pierot, Connor Glass and Taylor Hazen, as well as her great-great-granddaughter, Ava Bright, and great-great-grandson, Louie Bright V.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at the First Methodist Church in Duncanville, TX at 12noon on March 25, 2024.In memory of Mary McCauley, contributions can be made to the Heart and Kidney Associations.
