Background
Mom died two weeks ago and we just don’t have the money to pay for it. When I went to the funeral home, I found out how much it was shocked. Every single day, I cry because mom has not received the proper ceremony and people haven’t been able to pay her their respects. We can’t even pay for her obituary. She retired a couple years ago and her Social Security was well under poverty so she never was able to buy life insurance but of course we thought she would live forever and one day that proved untrue. We’re asking For this money so that We can put her in peace and so we can keep our dignity. We are Working with a local funeral home who is allowing us to make payments and for very basic services, in fact, she’s not even getting a service. She is just getting cremated and as soon as We pay for the obituary she’ll be able to be listed in the local newspaper, which they also handle. I have a lot of pride and it’s hard for me to ask for help but this is for my mom, who deserves what she wanted in the end—her ashes spread in her favorite lake so that she can be free to rest in peace. Anything will help and we appreciate it And we are forever grateful and God bless you all.
