Throughout history, there have been many iconic women. From Mother Teresa to Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, the world has never lacked extraordinary and inspirational ladies. Little things you did at home or work significantly impacted the lives of those around you.

Your presence was enough to make SCSU scholars feel amazing, and I am grateful that we let you know it. The way you saw things and did things made you a fantastic person. I am grateful that I met you. Whatever you did, whatever you came up with, all I could see is your sweetness in it.

All your ideas were gestures that couldn't be any kinder. You were a fantastic human being. Very few things amaze me. And one of them was you. I kept wondering, from where did you get that strength and courage. Then when I learned the reasons behind all you did was simply love. I wondered and praised you. My family and I, especially DAKOTA shall always be indebted to your love.

With all the sweet gestures that one could imagine, you were an extraordinary lady. When I count the fantastic things that God has made, I trusted (counted) you twice. When I saw your love for SCSU and its scholars, I thank God for creating you and sending you into our lives. And I feel I can't thank the almighty enough.

You were one of our families greatest blessing. I liked you every moment. But the moment in which you were strongest for us, I adored you more. I did not convey it enough. But one thing is sure. You were absolutely amazing! You made those that roamed SCSU feel complete. You were uniquely gifted and beautiful both inside and outside. I found you to be one of the most fantastic women that I’ve ever known because you so smoothly and effortlessly managed all the hectic things.

Rest well in the realm of the ancestral place MAMA WHITE.

Deloris and family please know that my heart is hurting for you all at this time.  Please know that I am here for you.  She will be truly missed!

She was always a call away no matter what! She single handed helped me navigate honors college and college in general. She was there for my tears AND laughter and was always encouraging. I will always be thankful for her 🫶🏽 LOVE YOU FOREVER MAMA WHITE!!!!
I first met Soror White at an Undergrad Advisor's training. We were paired together in an activity where we had to have each other's back. From that day on we had each other's back. I'm going to truly miss my Sis/Dear Friend.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the children & family. I went to school with Mary & she & I would hold many conversations when she visited the store!! We would share & exchange stories!! I loved her dearly & she is now with her Bestie (Deborah) in heaven!!! God bless the Family!! Class of 85 forever loved you!!!
Rest in Peace Mama White , You will truly be missed ❤️. The last conversation we had was the morning of my graduation & I thanked God and yourself for not giving up on me whenever I didn’t held up my end of the bargain. I told you I pray that God heal you from whatever sickness is trying to overtake your body & I loved you. You responded less than a minute later saying “I love you more , God bless & thank you”. You will never be forgotten Mama White 🕊️

Thank you for the blessing you were and having known you is to so many to so many parents and students. I remember first meeting you I was so upset but you said you’d try to get it fixed and it got fixed. I have been am and will be grateful. I never felt a need to worry after that because I knew you were on watch for our children. God could be seen so brightly in you and I remember telling you that. Thank you for all you’ve done for so many especially Zion. Rest well beautiful soul.❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Mama White embodied the very essence of kindness and support during my time at SCSU. As a student, navigating the challenges of academic life and personal growth could be overwhelming, but Mama White was always there, offering her gentle guidance and unwavering encouragement to me. Mama White had a way of making me and my concerns feel seen and valued. Her presence at SCSU especially the Honors college was a beacon of warmth and positivity, and her absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt. May almighty God grant Mama white eternal rest🙏🏾
We are forever grateful for how you looked out for Jael as if she was your own.  Your presence and care allowed a father to be at peace with his daughter 600 miles away at school.  Prayers for your family and the entire Bulldog community.
You always spoke life while at State and for years after. Thinking of your family during this time.
My condolences to the whole family. I met Ms White in Denmark SC and she also worked at SCSU when I was there in 2002.  She was a good friend and will be missed.
