It’s so hard to talk about yo…
It’s so hard to talk about you in a few word. My husband and I first met you at different points in our lives. Him in high school, me in college. We cannot share important details of our lives journey without you. Your impact is so unforgettable. Thank you so much for always showing up for us. You lived with the arrows of your life pointing out. You loved deeply, cared genuinely and you were not afraid to show it. You were a woman of faith. I wish our son had the opportunity to meet you, you would have loved him. I just hope we did a good job letting you know how much we value you. We are not ready to let go, but we understand. Heaven needs you more. I can already picture the lord saying to you “well done my faithful servant”. you will greatly be missed. Rest well Mama, You have done well !
My condolences to Mary's family. I first met Mary when we’re in JuniorHigh school and we remained friend’s throughout our adult lives. I remember being a person filled with joy and laughter; but I remember her being a woman of God… her presence always made you feel special , Mary had a way comforting those that were in time of need, assuring you of the wonders of the Lord. Her saying “ Jesus fix it” resounds in my mind and heart. To her pride and joy, family Keep your faith strong in the Lord, I ask that he guide you through this most difficult period….. Rest well dear Lady… from your labor. 💔
My sincere condolences to the family of Ms. White. She will be remembered as a person who always praised others.  She truly loved the students and SCSU and would always help them in anyway she could. We assisted each other with many of the students in the Honor College Program. I will always remember that beautiful smile. May she rest in peace!

There are sooo many memories until I don’t even know which one(s) to share. There was never a dull moment when we talked. I met her in 2016 and we definitely became closer as I became Ms. Honors College. She could call me at 12/1am to get a student, I never told her no. I remember calling her and she answered, “ Hey, Jackie Walker! Whatcha been up to, Beautiful!?” As the conversation continued, she heard me sniffling, and said, “ I know you’re not crying. Girlll, if you don’t stop, imma come find you and whoop your behind myself.” That particular conversation stuck with me because she always knew what to say, when to say it, and it was all out of love. Although this happened almost 4-5 years ago, if I think about shedding a tear, I hear her voice as a reminder. Weeks ago, as I was sitting in my car one evening, I called and she answered, we laughed and she was still the same Mama White even while navigating everything. She said, “ I was just thinking about you and how you’ve always made me laugh and started to call , but I didn’t want to interrupt you.” I’m so glad I followed my intuition and called her. She’s not here with us physically, but all I have is all smiles as I reflect on our times together. All I can say is, if positive was a person in human form, Mary White would be it!
My condolences to all of her family and friends.  I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. White at a girls retreat for students from HKT.  We connected instantly. She shared an encouraging story on that day that helped me to look at life differently.  We kept trying to arrange for her to speak at a conference in my hometown but we neve got around to it.  I thank God that our paths crossed.  She made a difference.
My prayers and condolences go out to the family. Such a sweet person.
Soror Mary White was a bright light where ever she went. I enjoyed working with her as she served as the advisor for the Zeta undergraduate chapter at SCSU (Psi Alpha). "He giveth His beloved sleep."

I was so sorry to hear about Mama White's passing. Her embrace was always filled with love and care. The love she poured into everyone was unmatched.
Your light will continue to shine through us. Rest Assured. I love you. Thank you.
Sending my condolences to your family. You will be remembered.
Sending lots of love to you and your family during this time ❤
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I will always treasure the times I had the pleasure of working directly with Ms. White at South Carolina State.  When she was in the Honors College, we would often see each other at meetings and other events.  I had the joy of directly working with her about student concerns when she became Dean of Students.  She was always about our students, and her love for SC State always shone through.  She was a wonderful colleague and a beautiful lady.
